Job summary

RBC is hiring a Senior Software Developer for the Cash Analytics – Pricing and Risk technology team in Malaysia. You will design and implement high-performance pricing and risk analytics systems, handling large datasets and batch/real-time processing.

You will collaborate with front office, risk, and engineering teams to deliver scalable, reliable solutions in a complex production environment, with a focus on performance optimization and modernizing legacy platforms.

Qualifications

• Strong programming in Python or C#.
• Solid SQL with performance tuning and large datasets.
• Understanding of data structures, system design, and performance optimization.
• Hands-on experience with data-intensive or large-scale systems.
• Proven ability to debug complex production environments.
• Knowledge of Agile, CI/CD, version control and packaging tools (Jenkins, Nexus, GitHub, Confluence...).
• Independent ownership mindset and strong communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, test and enhance scalable pricing and risk analytics systems (batch and real-time).
• Work with large datasets and optimize data processing performance.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions with front office and risk teams.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues in critical systems.
• Improve system scalability, performance, and reliability.
• Contribute to system design and modernization of legacy platforms.
• Write clean, maintainable, efficient code following best practices.
• Facilitate requirements prioritization based on business value.
