Job summary

RBC is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Developer to join our innovation team in Malaysia. You will build rapid proofs-of-concept, work closely with wealth management teams across Europe and Asia, and shape opportunities into scalable digital solutions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a full-stack developer.
• Experience building modern frontend apps with React/Angular/TypeScript/JavaScript/HTML/CSS.
• Backend experience with Java, Spring Boot, Python or Node.js.
• Knowledge of security gateways and protocols (JWT, OAuth2.0, OIDC, SSL).
• Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs (Swagger, SOAP).
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MSSQL, MongoDB).
• Knowledge of distributed cloud apps (OpenShift, Docker, AWS, Azure).
• Full SDLC experience with CI/CD and testing before release.
• Experience using AI development tools or similar workflows.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship rapid POCs end-to-end with stakeholder feedback.
• Lead discovery conversations with business teams to understand pain points and outcomes.
• Clarify ambiguous problems and drive solution options to delivery.
• Architect clean, handoff-ready solutions balancing speed and scalability.
• Collaborate with compliance, security, and platform teams to design responsibly.
• Utilize AI tools and agent-based workflows to prototype, test and document.
• Create demos, narratives, and go/no-go recommendations for go/scale/pivot decisions.
• Communicate clearly to partners and turn ideas into tangible outcomes.
• Contribute reusable patterns and accelerators to speed up the team.
