Job summary

GXBank is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join our backend engineering team as we build the digital backbone for customer experiences. You will design, develop, deploy, and monitor robust backend services using Go, Redis, MySQL, and AWS, ensuring performance, reliability, and scalability across the platform.

You will work closely with application and infrastructure teams, participate in code reviews, and help shape the technical roadmap.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or related field with strong fundamentals.
• 3–7 years in software engineering in distributed systems.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in languages; willingness to work with Go (Golang).

Responsibilities

• Design and write Go backend to improve availability, scalability, and latency.
• Explore architectures for scale and performance with engineering teams.
• Participate in code and design reviews to uphold standards.
• Engage in capacity planning, performance analysis, and tuning.
• Collaborate with product/experience teams to prototype features.
• Work with infrastructure to scale services and perform root cause analyses.
• Design, build, analyze and fix large-scale systems.
• Debug production software.
