Talent Porter is partnering with our client to hire Backend Software Engineers with strong hands-on Golang experience to develop, operate and improve scalable backend services.

This role is suited to engineers who have worked on production systems and understand more than just application development. You should be comfortable working with APIs, microservices, event-driven processing, databases and cloud infrastructure, while maintaining performance and reliability as systems scale.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of professional backend development experience.
• Strong experience with Go and building production-grade backend services.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and microservices for scalable systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain backend services, RESTful APIs and microservices using Go.
• Build reliable, scalable and distributed services to support high transaction volumes.
• Deploy, operate and troubleshoot containerised apps with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Work with AWS to ensure performance, availability and scalability of services.
• Investigate performance bottlenecks and production incidents, and implement fixes.
