Job summary

USTBC ABB Installation Products Inc. is seeking an experienced Technical Sales Support professional in Malaysia to design automation solutions (DCS/PLC/SCADA/SIS) aligned with customer URDs and IEC/IEEE/API standards.

You will define architectures, prepare proposals, and lead clarifications during bids, while coordinating with Sales, Engineering and Supply Chain. The role requires 6–10 years in automation, strong communication, and experience with power, water/wastewater, oil & gas or renewables

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical/Instrumentation & Control/Mechanical/Chemical Engineering.
• 6–10 years in technical sales support, proposal engineering or bid management for automation/ICSS.
• Experience in Power Plants, Water & Wastewater, Oil & Gas, Renewables or Petrochemical EPC projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop automation solutions (DCS, PLC, SCADA, SIS) in response to customer specifications and URDs.
• Define system architectures, I/O counts, network topologies, and redundancy concepts.
• Prepare technical proposals, compliance matrices, and scope of supply documentation.
• Lead technical clarifications and value engineering during bid and negotiation phases.
• Support cost estimation, manhour planning, and resource allocation.
• Coordinate with Sales, Engineering, Project Management, and Supply Chain through the bid lifecycle.
• Engage with EPC contractors, OEMs, system integrators, and consultants.
• Ensure compliance with IEC, IEEE, NFPA, API, and project-specific standards.
• Advise on PMS, ECMS, cybersecurity, and remote operations requirements.
• Support technical handover from tendering to project execution.
• Stay current on automation trends: IEC 61850, BESS integration, cybersecurity, decarbonization
