Job summary

AIG Malaysia Insurance Berhad is seeking an experienced Underwriter for Auto & Personal Property based in Kuala Lumpur. You will own and support underwriting, governance, portfolio management, and stakeholder collaboration to achieve top and bottom-line results.

Responsibilities include ensuring quality underwriting, price adequacy, and guidelines development, while working with internal teams to optimize processes and maintain regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Three plus years of proven experience in insurance, preferably Auto and Personal Property underwriting.
• Strong relationship skills with customers and intermediaries across a broad range of stakeholders.
• Fluent in English with good verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Accountability for underwriting performance in topline, profitability and loss ratio.
• Support in developing and updating underwriting guidelines, policies and procedures.
• Review new and renewal underwriting referrals and provide timely approvals or modifications.
• Support pricing, portfolio management and analysis of performance, loss ratios, and market trends.
• Ensure compliance with underwriting authority and relevant audits.
