AIG Malaysia Insurance Berhad is seeking an Underwriting Analyst to join our Malaysian underwriting team. You will manage renewal reviews, support product development, and ensure pricing accuracy across policies.
With 5+ years in underwriting or related fields and a diploma or bachelor’s degree, you will collaborate with IT and branches, maintain regulatory compliance, and help shape efficient, risk-aware solutions for our clients.
This Underwriter role will be an ideal next step in your career if you already have some relevant experience in insurance – or this could be your entry into underwriting if you have transferable skills.

The staff is expected to manage:
Major job function is to take over renewal review. Renewal review need to be completed on weekly basis as every weekend, is renewal run for renewal notice printing.
The job will include finding new ways for easier and faster review to be done by way of system enhancement and collaboration with other units where required. To actively liaising with IT and system vendor to get this done. Also ways to reduce the review number hence the time taken will be meaningful used for other initiatives.
Assist Underwriting Manager for product development which should include preparing the policy wordings, liaising with IT and system vendor on system development as well as working with pricing for product/benefits rating and system testing.
Assist Underwriting Manager to look into and implement any regulatory requirement that may include system enhancement.
The staff will also be responsible to support branches with any enquiries pertaining to underwriting, policies terms and conditions, policies and endorsements premium checking under de-tariff.
