Job summary

Acclime is seeking a capable Audit Senior to lead medium to large audit engagements, ensuring robust planning, execution, and timely delivery in a professional environment.

You will review working papers, supervise junior staff, and liaise with clients while ensuring compliance with auditing standards and firm policies. A recognised accounting degree and 3–5 years' audit experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Recognised degree in Accounting or equivalent.
• Professional qualification such as MICPA, ACCA, CPA Australia or CIMA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead medium and large audit engagements from planning to timely completion.
• Plan, prepare and execute audits from planning stage to completion.
• Ensure audit work complies with auditing standards and firm policies.
• Review working papers for accuracy and quality of deliverables.
• Provide guidance, supervision and support to audit assistants and semi-seniors.
• Manage assignments independently with effective client and team communication.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead medium and large-sized audit engagements, ensuring proper planning, effective execution, and timely completion within the agreed timeframe.
• Plan, prepare, and execute audit assignments from the initial planning stage through to the successful completion of engagements.
• Ensure audit work is performed in accordance with relevant auditing standards, regulatory requirements, and firm policies.
• Review audit working papers and ensure the accuracy and quality of audit deliverables.
• Provide guidance, supervision, and support to audit assistants and semi-seniors.
• Manage audit assignments independently while maintaining effective communication with clients and team members.

Requirements

• Minimum qualification of a recognised degree in Accounting or an equivalent qualification, and/or a professional qualification such as MICPA, ACCA, CPA Australia or CIMA.
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant working experience in the audit and assurance field.
• Ability to work independently and possess strong leadership and team management skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
• Proactive, innovative and self-driven.
• Highly organised, reliable and able to meet deadlines.
• Strong sense of integrity and a positive working attitude.
