Job summary

Kenanga Investment Bank Berhad is seeking a Senior Associate, Business & Systems Support to gather, analyze, and document requirements for system enhancements. You will also support core system operations, run ad-hoc reporting, and perform data validation to ensure smooth day-to-day performance.

Responsibilities include leading UAT planning, coordinating with IT and vendors, and ensuring tests cover business needs while maintaining data integrity.

SENIOR ASSOCIATE, BUSINESS & SYSTEMS SUPPORT

1. Act as the primary Business Analyst to gather, analyze, and document business requirements for system enhancements, projects, and process improvements.

2. Provide secondary support for core system operations, including system change requests (CR), ad-hoc reporting, data validation, and issue investigation to ensure smooth day-to-day system performance.

3. Leverage SQL knowledge to support business analysis, including:

-Writing and executing SQL queries to extract, validate, and analyze data from core systems and databases.

-Supporting ad-hoc reporting, data reconciliation, and impact analysis for system changes.

-Assisting stakeholders with data insights to support decision-making and requirement clarification.

4.Manage and engage business stakeholders across various functions to understand business needs, align expectations, facilitate requirement discussions, and ensure timely communication throughout the project and system enhancement lifecycle.

5. Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors to translate business needs into clear functional specifications, data requirements, business rules, and acceptance criteria.

6. Manage vendor relationships for system enhancements, issue resolution, and project delivery by coordinating requirements, monitoring deliverables, tracking timelines, escalating risks, and ensuring quality delivery.

7. Lead and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities, including:

-Preparing comprehensive test strategies, test scenarios, test cases, and test scripts based on business requirements.

-Coordinating UAT execution with business users and stakeholders.

-Tracking, documenting, and managing defects through resolution and retesting.

-Ensuring test coverage and validating system functionality against business requirements.

-Performing data validation and reconciliation using SQL during testing activities.

8. Facilitate user verification and business sign-off processes by:

-Ensuring delivered solutions meet business requirements and operational needs.

-Coordinating user reviews, feedback collection, and acceptance confirmation.

-Supporting post-implementation validation and stabilization activities.

9. Support system implementation and change deployment activities, including:

-Conducting impact assessments and readiness reviews.

-Coordinating deployment activities with IT teams, vendors, and business users.

-Assisting in root cause analysis and resolution of production issues.

10. Ensure successful delivery of IT solutions by aligning business requirements, data integrity, system capabilities, stakeholder expectations, testing outcomes, and vendor deliverables.

QUALIFICATION

Bachelor's degree in related field

At least 6 years of experience in business analysis or system support roles.

Strong SQL knowledge (minimum 6 years).

KEY EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Proven experience in Business Analysis, stakeholder management, and vendor management.

Hands-on experience in UAT planning, test script preparation, test execution, defect management, and user sign-off processes.

Strong SQL skills for data extraction, validation, reconciliation, and analysis.

Experience working with cross-functional business teams, IT teams, and third-party vendors.

Strong communication, requirement elicitation, problem-solving, and project coordination skills.
