Job summary

MetLife is seeking an Assistant Manager, Controller CoE Asia based in Kuala Lumpur to oversee accounts payable/receivable, month-end close, and regulatory submissions for Malaysia and potentially Singapore entities.

Responsibilities include fixed asset management, intercompany billings, treasury, and compliance, with involvement in budgeting and regional expense management. Strong IFRS knowledge and experience with PeopleSoft are preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant working experience.
• CPA/CMA/ACCA or equivalent qualification.
• Knowledge of IFRS is expected.
• Experience with PeopleSoft General Ledger and Accounts Payable is preferred.
• Proficiency in Excel and AI-assisted tasks.

Responsibilities

• Month-end close activities, supporting schedules and reconciliations.
• Fixed asset management and reporting.
• Intercompany billings, collections and reporting.
• Accounts payable processing and vendor payment verification.
• Treasury and cashflow monitoring and reporting.
• Internal and external statutory compliance activities.
• Support global finance projects and ad-hoc requests.
• Coordinate budgeting and forecasting with business stakeholders.
• Assist regional expense management and variance analysis.
