Job summary

STMicroelectronics in Malaysia seeks an Operational Excellence Lead to drive Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, productivity, cost reduction, and overall operational performance in Assembly Operations.

You will collaborate with Production, Engineering, Quality, Planning, Maintenance, Finance, and HR to reduce waste and establish sustainable operating systems for long-term excellence. Strong leadership, data analysis, and training are essential.

Qualifications

• PhD, Master’s, or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in maintenance engineering, preferably in semiconductor or electronics assembly operations.
• Experience in Back-End Manufacturing is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor manufacturing performance indicators including OEE, UPH, yield, downtime, and WIP.
• Identify bottlenecks, capacity constraints, and sources of operational losses.
• Lead Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and DMAIC projects.
• Coordinate improvement activities with Production, Process, Equipment, Quality, Planning, and other departments.
• Prepare management reports, dashboards, and presentations using Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ensure improvements are sustained and embedded into daily operations.
