Job summary

ASE Electronics Malaysia in Bayan Lepas, Penang, is seeking a Senior/Junior Technical Specialist to support production lines on Assembly Equipment. The role emphasizes maintaining equipment OEE, keeping downtime minimal, and driving improvements.

The ideal candidate will be fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia, able to manage shifts, and take ownership of a project aimed at safety, UPH improvement, cost reduction, and downtime minimization.

Qualifications

• Full-time employment.
• Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Fully accountable to maintain required equipment OEE and equipment downtime performance.
• Equipment conversion < 2hrs and material preparation.
• Provide feeds back and request for Engineering support if not able to resolve within own shift.
• Monitor equipment performance and provide equipment improvement plans.
• Project: own 1 project for Safety/UPH Improvement/Cost reduction/Minimize downtime.
• Equipment downtime control < 9%.
• Overall product IR yield goal > 99.5%.
• Support qualification work for Engineering/NPI.
• Any other duties assigned from time to time.
• Perform proper escalation base on set guideline to ensure operational issues are addressed in timely manner.
• Measure setup/conversion data and send report every shift.
• Update e-log sheet in factory work system.
• Perform daily temperature profiling for reflow oven.
• Collect and record all the EBR data based on control plan (1 lot/shift) and 2 hourly X-ray.
• Update e-SPC in factory work system.
