Job summary

AECOM in Kuala Lumpur seeks an experienced Architect to contribute to railway and transport projects. You will lead architectural studies, coordinate with design teams, and produce drawings and specifications using REVIT and AutoCAD.

The ideal candidate has a Master’s or Bachelor’s in Architecture, 6–8 years of related experience, and English fluency. International project exposure is a plus. This hybrid role offers collaboration across disciplines on large-scale projects.

Qualifications

• Master's/bachelor's degree in architecture recognized by the Board of Architects.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Railway/Transport projects.
• 6–8 years of experience in Architectural projects; Singapore, Australia, Middle East/US/UK experience desirable but not essential.
• Being registered with the Board of Architects will be an advantage.
• Experience leading end-to-end large-scale projects, including conceptual design, design development, facilitating, communicating, and technical coordination with client side and design consultant team.
• Good communication and presentation skills. Able to speak and write English fluently.

Responsibilities

• Performing basic architectural/engineering calculations.
• Preparing specifications, reports and related data tables.
• Maintaining liaison with design and drafting groups.
• Preparing, reviewing, and approving drawings as required.
• Under the direction of the Supervising Architect, may independently perform advanced technical assignments of various complexities within approved schedules and budgets.
• May coordinate technical and administrative activities with employees in other disciplines and other departments participating on an assigned project.
• May assist in the training and evaluation of assigned architectural and design/drafting personnel.
