Job summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced architect to contribute to railway/transport and architectural projects in Malaysia. The role involves calculations, specifications, and drawings coordination across design teams and clients, with opportunities to lead end-to-end project elements.

Applicants should hold a Master’s or Bachelor’s in Architecture, have 3+ years in railway/transport sectors, and 6–8 years in architectural projects with strong English skills. International experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Master’s or bachelor’s degree in architecture recognized by relevant board or authority.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Railway/Transport projects.
• 6–8 years of experience in architectural projects; experience in Singapore, Australia, Middle East/US/UK is desirable but not essential.
• Registration with Board of Architects is an advantage.
• Experience leading end-to-end large-scale projects with conceptual design, design development, coordination and client/consultant liaison.
• Good communication and presentation skills; fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic architectural/engineering calculations.
• Prepare specifications, reports and related data tables.
• Maintain liaison with design and drafting groups.
• Prepare, review, and approve drawings as required.
• Under supervision, may perform advanced technical tasks within schedules and budgets.
• Coordinate technical and administrative activities with other disciplines and departments.
• Assist in training and evaluating architectural and design/drafting personnel.
