DP Architects Sdn Bhd is seeking a senior Architect to lead healthcare projects, delivering concept to construction through BIM models and detailed drawings. You will coordinate with clinicians, engineers and consultants, ensuring compliance with MOH guidelines and infection control standards.
The candidate will mentor team members, manage tender documentation, and liaise with authorities to secure approvals while maintaining design intent across construction phases.
Lead conceptualisation and development of healthcare architectural concepts and schematic designs;
Carry out feasibility studies, space planning and clinical workflow planning to support healthcare operations;
Prepare and present design proposals to clients, healthcare operators and stakeholders;
Develop detailed architectural designs, construction details and BIM models for healthcare facilities;
Prepare tender documentation including drawings, schedules and material specifications suitable for healthcare environments;
Ensure compliance with local codes, healthcare regulations and authority requirements, including MOH guidelines and infection control standards;
Coordinate closely with clinicians, healthcare planners, engineers and specialist consultants to integrate medical planning requirements;
Manage project and contract administration for healthcare projects, ensuring design intent is maintained throughout construction;
Liaise with authorities, clients and consultant teams on submissions, approvals and technical matters;
Oversee on-site works, conduct inspections and resolve healthcare-specific construction and compliance issues;
Ensure high standards of design quality, functionality, safety and durability appropriate for healthcare use;
Assist the Team Lead in overseeing, guiding and mentoring project teams to deliver healthcare projects based on project scope, timelines and operational requirements.
Recognized Degree in Architecture or an equivalent qualification;
Registered Architect with the Lembaga Arkitek Malaysia (LAM) is an added advantage;
Minimum 8 - 12 years of relevant architectural experience, with proven healthcare project delivery experience;
Strong knowledge of healthcare planning principles, clinical workflows and infection control requirements;
Experience delivering BIM-based healthcare projects with high technical complexity;
Proficient in architectural and design software including Revit and Photoshop;
Strong understanding of architectural detailing, working drawings and construction practices for healthcare facilities;
Well-versed in local building codes, healthcare regulations and authority submission processes;
Strong communication, coordination and leadership skills with experience engaging clinical and institutional stakeholders.
