We are seeking a talented Senior Architect to join our Kota Kinabalu studio in Sabah. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of experience in project planning, design development, and execution, and be capable of managing complex projects from concept to completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and interpret design concepts in alignment with client briefs and project goals.
• Prepare architectural drawings, models, and documents to support design development and presentations.
• Collaborate with internal teams to assist in project coordination and ensure smooth project progress.
• Take ownership of specific design areas under the guidance of the project leader.
• Liaise with external consultants, contractors, and stakeholders for seamless project execution.
• Ensure design compliance with local regulations, including building codes and technical guidelines.
• Manage large, multidisciplinary projects while ensuring timelines, quality standards, and adherence to GDP Architects’ protocols.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 8 years of architectural experience, particularly in healthcare, data centers, residential, hospitality, or retail projects.
• Strong understanding of Malaysian building codes, planning regulations, and technical design standards.
• Proven ability to make informed design decisions and effectively communicate concepts.
• A proactive, solution-oriented approach with the ability to meet deadlines and adapt to direction.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients, consultants, and team members.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite (experience with additional 3D modeling tools is a plus).
