The role emphasizes site visits, RFQ responses, trainer-led sessions, and collaboration across cross-functional teams to support growth and customer success.

Qualifications

• This role requires a Diploma or Degree in Electronics, Electrical or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as an Application Engineer or in related industries.
• Strong ability to advise customers with engineering and solution recommendations.

Responsibilities

Work Arrangement: Hybrid, 2 days onsite, 3 days WFH

This role aims to support business growth by providing technical expertise, application knowledge, and customer-focused solutions across key product categories. The role partners closely with customers, sales, marketing, and business development teams to drive product adoption, influence specification opportunities, and deliver exceptional technical support that enhances customer satisfaction and commercial success.

Here Is More About What You Will Be Doing...

• Provide technical application knowledge and support across strategic product offerings
• Support customers with product selection, application, implementation, usage, functionality, quality requirements, and training to ensure successful adoption of solutions.
• Attend customer sites when required to understand application requirements, identify challenges, and recommend suitable solutions from the product portfolio.
• Handle technical enquiries professionally through phone, email, and face-to-face interactions while maintaining a high level of customer service.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Product, Supplier, and Business Development teams to support technical sales strategies and drive business growth.
• Provide technical guidance and industry insights to support customer engagements, specification opportunities, design-in activities, and project development.
• Conduct product and category training sessions for internal sales teams and customers to enhance product knowledge and solution-selling capabilities.
• Assist in responding to RFQs, conducting product demonstrations, delivering customer training, and supporting industry trade shows and technical events.
• Work closely with customers and internal stakeholders to provide value-added engineering advice, proof-of-concept activities, product verification, and technical assessments.

What existing skills and experience will you need to be successful in this opportunity

• Diploma or Degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline
• Minimum 5 years of experience as an Application Engineer or in Electronics, Industrial, Engineering, or Distribution-related industries
• Strong technical knowledge with the ability to provide application support, engineering advice, and solution recommendations to customers
• Demonstrated ability to support business growth through technical sales activities, customer engagement, and project opportunities
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
• Self-motivated, independent, and able to develop and execute plans with minimal supervision
• Ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams including Sales, Marketing, Product Management, and Business Development

Desirable Experience

• Experience conducting face-to-face customer meetings, site visits, and on-site technical support activitie
• Proven track record of delivering value-added technical specifications, engineering recommendations, and design-in opportunitie
• Experience supporting specification, proof-of-concept, product verification, or engineering assessment activitie
• Practical knowledge or experience with Single Board Computers (SBC), Test & Measurement equipment, and/or Telemecanique Sensor
• Knowledge of industrial automation, electronics, electrical, or mechanical application
• Local language capabilities and multilingual communication skills would be advantage
