Job summary

Ant International’s Malaysia Tech Center is advancing cross-border payments, SME digitalisation, and next-generation financial infrastructure. As an AI Engineer, you will own end-to-end product engineering delivery in an AI-native environment, collaborating with AI agents across the delivery lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong programming and system-design skills.
• Proven ability to deliver complex software from ambiguous requirements through production operation and continuous improvement.
• Experience guiding other engineers to make sound technical trade-offs and coordinate delivery across teams.

Responsibilities

• Own complex or cross-domain initiatives, turning ambiguous business needs into reliable production outcomes.
• Design and evolve critical backend services and integrations, balancing security, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
• Define quality and release approaches, resolve complex system outages or degradations, and drive improvements to prevent recurrence.
• Establish and evolve AI-native engineering workflows, guardrails, and feedback loops that improve team delivery speed and software quality.
• Guide other engineers through technical decisions and reviews while coordinating dependencies and risks across product teams and business partners.
