Job summary

Ant International, through its Malaysia Tech Center, seeks an Applied AI Engineer to own end-to-end product engineering in an AI-native environment. You will collaborate with AI agents throughout the delivery lifecycle, ensuring correctness, security, reliability, and business outcomes of all delivered features.

You will work on clearly scoped features, build backend services, and maintain APIs, applying solid software engineering practices and ownership in a fast-paced, global fintech context.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualification: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proficiency in at least one general-purpose programming language.
• Solid understanding of APIs, databases and version control concepts.
• Proven ability to build and debug working software through projects, internships, or coursework.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to clearly scoped product features and fixes from requirements to deployment.
• Build and maintain backend services and APIs following established engineering standards.
• Ensure code quality through validation, defect resolution, and handling production feedback.
• Collaborate with AI agents within AI-native engineering workflows across implementation, testing, debugging, and documentation.
• Participate in technical topics, code reviews, and communicate delivery progress or risks.
