Job summary

Ant International is a leading global digital payment, digitisation and fintech provider with a Malaysia-based Global Development Centre. As an AI Engineer, you will own end-to-end product engineering in an AI-native environment, collaborating with AI agents across the delivery lifecycle and ensuring correctness, security, reliability, and business outcomes.

You will design and evolve core backend services, define release approaches, and guide other engineers while coordinating dependencies

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Strong programming and system-design skills with a track record of owning complex backend systems.
Proven ability to deliver complex software from ambiguous requirements through production operation.
Experience guiding other engineers to make sound technical trade-offs and drive delivery across teams.

Responsibilities

Own complex or cross-domain initiatives, turning ambiguous business needs into reliable production outcomes.
Design and evolve critical backend services and integrations, balancing security, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
Define quality and release approaches, resolve complex system outages or degradations, and drive improvements to prevent recurrence.
Establish and evolve AI-native engineering workflows, guardrails, and feedback loops that improve team delivery speed and software quality.
Guide other engineers through technical decisions and reviews while coordinating dependencies and risks across product teams and business partners.
