Job summary

Ant Group’s Malaysia Tech Center is seeking an AI Engineer to own end-to-end product engineering in an AI-native environment. You will design, implement, and maintain backend services and APIs, ensuring correctness, security, and reliability across the delivery lifecycle.

You will collaborate with AI agents, apply engineering judgment, and take accountability for business outcomes. A Bachelor’s in CS/Software Engineering (or equivalent) and solid programming fundamentals are required; internship

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in CS/Software Engineering.
• Foundational programming proficiency in at least one general-purpose language.
• Understanding of APIs, databases, version control, and core software concepts.
• Proven ability to build and debug software through coursework or projects.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to clearly scoped backend features and fixes from requirements to deployment.
• Build and maintain backend services and APIs following engineering standards.
• Ensure code quality through testing, defect resolution, and production feedback.
• Collaborate within AI-native workflows, review outputs, and document delivery progress.
