Job summary

Qualifications

• SPM/O-Level or higher qualification; accounting or finance qualifications (such as AAT, ACCA, LCCI or similar) are advantageous
• Minimum of 1-2 years' experience in an accounts officer or accounts clerk role
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines
• Good organisational and time management abilities
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
• Knowledge of Malaysian accounting standards, tax regulations and compliance requirements
• Willingness to provide guidance and support to junior team members

Responsibilities

• Processing and reconciling accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
• Preparing and maintaining accurate financial records and ledger accounts
• Performing data entry duties with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
• Assisting with the preparation of financial statements and reports
• Reconciling bank statements and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner
• Supporting the month-end and year-end close procedures
• Supervising and mentoring junior accounting staff where applicable
• Liaising with clients and external parties regarding accounting matters and inquiries
• Maintaining organized filing systems and ensuring compliance with record-keeping requirements
• Assisting with internal and external audits when required
