Job summary

Wilhelmsen group is seeking an AR Accountant to manage invoicing, bank postings and reconciliation within a fast-paced finance team in Malaysia. The role supports transitions into GBS and collaborates with internal departments to resolve AR queries.

Responsibilities include daily AR processing, issuing invoices, reconciling accounts, and ensuring timely monthly close. Strong Excel skills and knowledge of ERP systems are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• 2+ years of relevant experience in finance, preferably processing in a high volume environment.
• Solid knowledge of accounting principles.
• Experience in a similar Accounts Receivable environment is advantageous.
• Proficiency with Excel and other ERP systems (IFS, SAP, Oracle) is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform day to day AR transactions including invoicing, posting bank transactions and account reconciliation.
• Ensure daily operations meet targets and deadlines.
• Generate and send invoices and statements to customers.
• Process bank statements and reconcile payments against open items.
• Reconcile AR accounts and clarify any discrepancies.
• Maintain customer statements and resolve queries with internal departments.
• Assist in transitions into GBS and system/process improvements.
• Support audits and comply with internal controls.
