Job summary

Jungheinrich Lift Truck Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a Senior Accounts Executive to assist the Finance team with accounts receivable functions and general accounting tasks. Proficiency in SAP ERP and MS Office is required, along with strong English communication skills and attention to detail.

The role involves AR processing, credit assessments, dunning, and maintaining customer records, with a focus on timely collections and accurate reporting.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting or equivalent professional qualification.
• 2–4 years of accounting experience in an MNC environment.
• Proficient in English (spoken and written).
• Proficient in SAP ERP and MS Office.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills; good communication.

Responsibilities

• Handle accounts receivable and AR accounting functions.
• Proactively initiate and monitor daily collection process.
• Maintain and update customer records.
• Follow up on overdue invoices with sales teams and customers.
• Execute dunning, credit management in SAP.
• Prepare monthly aging reports, SOA, and debtor monitoring files.
• Serve as AR primary contact for queries and credit requests.
• Conduct credit assessments and monitor credit limits.
• Block overdue customers and liaise with legal for demands.
• Maintain internal controls and standardize AR procedures.
• General accounting: cash book entries and bank reconciliations.
• Assist in audit schedules.

Job description

We are looking for a Senior Accounts Executive assists the Finance team for account receivable's function and assisting in general accounting tasks.

What you'll be doing:

Account receivables

Handle AR accounting functions

Proactively initiate and monitor collection process on daily basis

Maintain and update customer records

Regular follow-up on overdue invoices through salespersons and with customers

Execute dunning system, dispute case management and credit management in SAP

Prepare monthly aging report, SOA and debtor monitoring file – for bi-weekly AR management meeting as well as identify trends and opportunities for improvement

Serve as a primary point of contact for AR related queries, build and maintain strong relationship with customer, handle customers’ request and etc

Conduct credit assessments, monitor credit limits, evaluate creditworthiness of new and existing customer, and provide timely recommendations and decisions on credit application

Execute customer blocking for overdue receivables and liaise with lawyer in execution of Letter of Demand to delinquent customers

Maintain and promote internal controls and standardize AR and credit control procedures

General accounting

Ensure cash book entries are up to date

Prepare monthly bank reconciliation

Assist in prepare audit schedules (eg: downpayment schedules and etc)

Additional Tasks

Ad-hoc duties assigned by Finance Department

Assist in process improvement and project implementation

Work cross functionally and ensure close co-ordination with non-finance functions to ensure smooth end to end operations

Minimum Degree in Accounting or Equivalent Professional Qualification

Minimum 2 to 4 years of experience of accounting in MNC environment

Proficient in English (spoken and written)

Proficiency in SAP ERP and standard MS Office Software

Strong organizational skills and problem-solving skills

Strong communication skills and negotiation skills

Fast paced team player that is able to work independently and self-motivated

Must possess strong attention to detail and the ability to accurately and precisely execute tasks
