What you'll be doing?
- Full-Set Accounting & Month-End Closing — Take ownership of the complete accounts cycle, including monthly and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness at every stage.
- Financial Reporting — Prepare comprehensive management accounts and financial reports that support informed business decision‑making.
- Reconciliations — Perform thorough bank and balance sheet reconciliations to maintain the integrity of financial records.
- Accounts Receivable & Payable Monitoring — Oversee both AR and AP functions, ensuring smooth cash flow and timely payments across the business.
- Cost & Inventory Management — Monitor product costing, conduct cost analysis, and maintain accurate inventory records supported by regular stock reconciliation and periodic stock counts.
- Compliance & Statutory Obligations — Ensure adherence to accounting standards, tax regulations, SST, and statutory requirements, keeping the organisation audit‑ready at all times.
- Stakeholder Liaison — Build and maintain strong working relationships with auditors, tax agents, bankers, and government authorities.
- Budgeting & Cash Flow Support — Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow monitoring to support the organisation's financial planning objectives.
- Internal Controls & Record Management — Uphold strong internal controls and maintain well‑organised accounting records to support governance and audit processes.
- ERP System & Process Improvement — Support ERP system processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency.
- Ad-Hoc Finance Support — Provide additional support and take on other duties as directed by the Finance Manager.
Who are they looking for?
- Accounting or Finance Qualification — A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field provides a strong foundation for this role.
- Relevant Accounting Experience — A minimum of 5 years of hands‑on accounting experience is required; candidates who bring a depth of knowledge across varied accounting functions are encouraged to apply.
- Full-Set Accounts Proficiency — Demonstrated ability to handle a full set of accounts and manage month‑end and year‑end closing independently.
- Accounting Standards & Compliance Knowledge — Solid understanding of accounting standards, taxation, SST, and statutory compliance is essential to succeed in this role.
- ERP & Microsoft Excel Skills — Experience with ERP systems and good proficiency in Microsoft Excel will be key in carrying out day‑to‑day responsibilities effectively.
- Analytical & Organizational Skills — Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational abilities are important for managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
- Communication & Stakeholder Management — Good communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with both internal and external stakeholders are highly valued in this role.
- Mandarin Language Proficiency — The ability to communicate in Mandarin is compulsory, as the role involves coordination with China‑based suppliers and customers, making this skill beneficial for smooth business operations.
- Manufacturing Industry Background — Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is an added advantage and will allow the successful candidate to contribute more quickly to the team.
