Linaco Group of Companies is seeking an experienced accounting professional to lead the full set of accounts at group level, including GL, AP, AR, fixed assets and inventory. You will ensure timely month-end and year-end closures, prepare IFRS/MFRS-compliant statements, and support consolidation where applicable.
The role requires strong Excel, ERP/ SAP skills, and 3–5 years of accounting experience, with Mandarin preferred for client interactions.
Prepare and manage the full set of accounts at company level, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Fixed Assets, and inventory accounting.
Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing, including journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations.
Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with MFRS/IFRS and statutory requirements.
Perform intercompany reconciliations and assist in consolidation (where applicable).
Review trial balance to ensure completeness, accuracy, and proper classification of transactions.
Monitor cash flow, working capital, and overall financial performance of the company
Liaison with Auditors & Tax Agents
Oversee and monitor Accounts Receivable ageing, credit exposure, and collection status across entities.
Prepare and review AR reconciliations, ensuring balances are complete and accurate.
Work closely with sales and operations to resolve billing disputes and collection issues.
Monitor and enforce credit control policies, including credit limits and payment terms.
Assess impairment / provision for doubtful debts in accordance with MFRS.
Prepare AR-related reports for management, including overdue analysis and collection performance.
Oversee the Accounts Payable function to ensure accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices and payments.
Review supplier reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
Manage payment planning to optimize cash flow while ensuring compliance with agreed credit terms.
Strengthen internal controls over payment processes and authorization procedures.
Prepare and review standard costing, actual costing, and variance analysis (material, labour, and overhead)
Review costing impact arising from Price changes/Yield loss / wastage/Process or formulation changes
Maintain and manage the ERP costing module, including item master costing, BOM, routing, and cost structures
Ensure accurate setup and periodic update of Material cost, Labour cost, Overhead absorption rates
Coordinate with Operations and Production to ensure costing data in ERP is complete and up to date
Analyze cost variances and investigate significant deviations, providing explanations and recommendations to management
Assist the Accounting Manager in overseeing the full set of accounts, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP),Accounts Receivable (AR), and Fixed Assets.
Ensure financial records are accurate and compliant with MFRS/IFRS, company policies, and statutory requirements.
Prepare and review management reports, variance analysis, and supporting schedules for management decision-making.
Coordinate and support external audits, tax audits, and statutory submissions, including SST, withholding tax, and income tax.
Monitor the effectiveness of internal controls and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and compliance.
Supervise, guide, and review work performed by accounting executives and assistants to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow monitoring, including tracking actual performance against budget.
Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate, Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent. A professional accounting qualification (or working towards one) such as: ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants), MIA, CPA, CIMA, ICAEW, Professional Certificate in Accountancy.
Required skill(s): Strong knowledge of accounting principles (e.g., MFRS/MPERS/IFRS, tax compliance).
Industrial Background Preferred: Min 3-5 years’ working experience in Accounting and Finance
Well verse in Microsoft Excel and Accounting System (SAP/SQL/ERP system)
Preferably Junior Executives specializing in Finance - General/Cost Accounting or equivalent.
Candidates fluent in mandarin preferred as role requires candidate to deal with mandarin speaking clients
