Job summary

Hunters International Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking an experienced finance professional to manage the full set of accounts, including general ledger, month-end closing, financial reporting, and analysis for timely and accurate results.

You will monitor AP/AR, perform intercompany reconciliations, and ensure strong internal controls while supporting tax compliance and audits. The role demands multitasking and meeting tight deadlines in Pasir Gudang, Johor.

Qualifications

• Diploma or bachelor degree in accountancy or equivalent.
• 4–6 years of relevant accounting or finance experience.
• Proficient in MS Word and MS Excel.
• Fluent in English, Mandarin and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Experience in accounting or audit firm is an advantage.
• Ability to handle full set of accounts and finalise accounts.
• Able to multitask and meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Handle full set of accounts including day-to-day general ledger accounting, month-end closing, financial reporting, and analysis in a timely and accurate manner.
• Monitor AP/AR functions and prepare intercompany monthly reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and regulatory standards.
• Drive process improvements, automation, and simplification to enhance efficiency of financial processes.
• Liaise with external auditors and tax agents including WHT submissions and tax compliance.
• Maintain and manage financial data, records, and reports with accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with Financial Reporting Standards and support internal audit recommendations.
• Perform any other duties as delegated by management.

About Our Client:

Our client specializing in the assembly, distribution, sales, and maintenance of Energy-Efficient Vehicles (EEVs) and Electric Vehicles (EVs).

Job Responsibilities:

• Handle full set of accounts, including day-to-day general ledger accounting, month-end closing, financial reporting, and analysis in a timely and accurate manner.
• Monitor Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions and prepare intercompany monthly reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and delegation of authority, while maintaining adherence to regulatory and accounting standards.
• Drive process improvements, automation, and simplification to enhance efficiency in financial processes.
• Liaise with external auditors and tax agents, including preparation of Withholding Tax (WHT) submissions and ensuring timely tax compliance.
• Maintain and manage financial data, records, and reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness of information.
• Ensure compliance with Financial Reporting Standards (FRS) and support implementation of internal audit recommendations where required.
• Perform any other duties or assignments as delegated by management from time to time.

Job Requirements:

• Possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, or Professional Degree in Accountancy or equivalent.
• Minimum 4-6 years of relevant working experience in accounting or finance.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly MS Word and MS Excel.
• Fluent in English, Mandarin, and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Experience in an accounting or audit firm environment will be an added advantage.
• Ability to handle full set of accounts and finalize accounts is preferred.
• Able to multitask, perform ad-hoc duties, and provide guidance to junior staff when required.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
