Job summary

Big Root Legacy Group in Sabah, Malaysia seeks a Senior Account Executive to maintain ledgers, post transactions, and support monthly/yearly close processes. You will supervise junior clerks and ensure accuracy across AP, AR, and general ledger activities.

The role requires a diploma/degree in accounting or finance with 2–5 years of relevant experience, proficiency in AutoCount or similar software, and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2–5 years of relevant working experience.
• Proficient in accounting software (AutoCount or similar), Microsoft Office tools, and AI tools.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and ledgers, ensuring timely posting of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger transactions.
• Verify, allocate, and record financial transactions into appropriate journals and accounting systems.
• Assist in the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies to ensure accuracy.
• Manage and reconcile stock records, fixed assets, and other related accounts.
• Oversee petty cash management and review staff expense claims for accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare and process payment vouchers, invoices, and other supporting documentation.
• Ensure adherence to company accounting policies, standards, and all relevant regulatory requirements.
• Provide guidance, training, and support to junior accounting staff in daily operations.
• Safeguard sensitive financial information and maintain confidentiality at all times.
