Job summary

Hitachi Rail STS Malaysia Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Finance Officer to ensure accurate monthly accruals and proper charging to GL and WBS. You will verify timesheets, assist supplier payments, and support audit activities within a multi-national environment.

The role requires a degree in accountancy and 1–2 years in finance, with strong communication and time-management skills, and hands-on experience with SAP and invoice management.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy.
• Proven experience with SAP, costs booking, invoice management.
• Minimum of 1-2 years experiences in finance or accounting team.
• Self-motivated, resourceful, hands-on, independent and meticulous.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to cope with time pressure and to manage relations within a large international company.

Responsibilities

• Update monthly accrual cost to ensure all project cost has been booked accurately.
• Ensure the expenses are charged to the correct GL and WBS.
• Track the availability of purchase orders.
• Liaise with HR to ensure all overtime and leaves have been approved by managers.
• Assist preparation of payment to suppliers and staff claims.
• Validating timesheet hours and submitting to project teams for hours verification process.
• Provide support for audit work.
• Work with other departments to ensure all the documentation and information is verified.
• Support other departments regarding their request
