Job summary

Hitachi Energy Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a General Accountant to support a broad range of accounting activities in Malaysia. You will assist with month-end closing, reconciliations, financial reporting, statutory audits and tax-related tasks, coordinating with internal teams and external auditors to ensure accurate reporting.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting with around 2 years in accounting/audit, familiarity with SAP is preferred, and the role demands

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
• Approximately 2 years of accounting and auditing experience
• Hands-on experience supporting statutory audits and collaborating with external auditors

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day general accounting activities including journal entries and general ledger processing
• Assist with statutory audit activities and coordinate with external auditors
• Support tax-related activities and e-invoicing processes
• Prepare and manage accounts payable reporting and related analyses
• Conduct balance sheet reviews with business unit controllers and ensure timely closing
