Job summary

Metrio Group is seeking an experienced Accountant to handle full accounting functions in Penang. The role requires a degree in accounting with ACCA/CIMA or related qualifications and at least five years of accounting experience.

You will manage monthly closings, financial analysis, and statutory reporting while liaising with auditors and tax agents. The ideal candidate is mature, independent, and capable of communicating effectively across all levels.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting/ACCA/CIMA or related
• At least 5 years of working experience in accounting
• Mature, Independent and good personality
• Able to communicate well with all level of staffs
• Computer literate, good in Ms Excel and Ms Word
• Knowledge of AutoCount system will be added advantage

Responsibilities

• Prepare and monitor monthly closing, P&L Statement, reporting and financial analysis, annual audited report, tax computation timely and accurately
• Perform balance sheet reconciliation and bank reconciliation
• Prepare SST and all other tax returns
• Prepare and consolidate monthly accounts and annual budgets
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents, company secretary, bankers and other statutory bodies/authorities on internal and external matters and ensure compliance of all statutory and tax requirements
• Perform any other duties that may be assigned by Superior or the Management from time to time as deemed necessary

Key responsibilities

Prepare and monitor monthly closing, P&L Statement, reporting and financial analysis, annual audited report, tax computation timely and accurately

Perform balance sheet reconciliation and bank reconciliation

Prepare SST and all other tax returns

Prepare and consolidate monthly accounts and annual budgets

Liaise with auditors, tax agents, company secretary, bankers and other statutory bodies/authorities on internal and external matters and ensure compliance of all statutory and tax requirements

About you
