Job summary

Stream Empire Holdings Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced accountant to manage full set of accounts and support monthly management reporting from its Kuala Lumpur office. You will coordinate budgeting, forecasting, and financial projections, ensuring compliance with local accounting standards and internal controls.

The role requires 3-5 years of experience, strong technical accounting skills, and the ability to communicate financial insights to non-financial staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum Degree in Accountancy or its equivalent.
• Minimum 3-5 years of working experience in accounting/finance.
• Proactive, detail oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to meet multiple deadlines and prioritise.
• Ability to interpret financial information for non-financial personnel.
• Willing to work at Old Klang Road.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, financial reports, and Board papers.
• Support in annual budget preparation, forecasting, and financial projection exercises.
• Ensure accounting records comply with Malaysia Accounting standards and company policies.
• Handle full set of accounts including accounts payable/receivable, GL, journal entries, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare and review balance sheet schedules and reconciliations.
• Assist in statutory financial statements and coordinate with external auditors.
• Support tax compliance matters including SST and filings.
• Monitor and maintain reliability of accounting system and data.
• Assist in cash flow management and working capital planning.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and SOPs.
• Liaise with bankers, auditors, tax agents, and internal departments on finance-related matters.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives to strengthen financial controls.
• Support ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as directed by Management.

Job description

Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, financial reports, and Board papers in a timely and accurate manner.

Support in annual budget preparation, forecasting, and financial projection exercises.

Ensure accounting records and financial transactions are properly maintained in compliance with Malaysia Accounting standards and company policies.

Handle full set of accounts, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, journal entries, and bank reconciliations.

Prepare and review balance sheet schedules and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.

Assist in the preparation of statutory financial statements and coordinate with external auditors during audit assignments.

Support tax compliance matters, including tax filings and SST matters where required.

Monitor and maintain the reliability and accuracy of the accounting system and financial data.

Assist in managing cash flow, working capital, and payment planning to support operational efficiency.

Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standard operating procedures, and company policies.

Liaise with internal departments, bankers, auditors, tax agents, and other external stakeholders on finance-related matters.

Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and strengthen financial controls.

Support ad-hoc financial analysis, reporting assignments, and projects as assigned by Management

Requirement:

Minimum Degree in Accountancy or its equivalent.

Minimum 3-5 years of working experience

Proactive, detail oriented and able to work in a fast pace working environment.

Ability to meet multiple deadlines from varying sources.

Ability to interpret financial information and processes to non-financial personnel.

Ability to plan and prioritise work with time management skill.

Ability to communicate and support the business with positive attitude

Knowledge of SQL accounting software or ERP system will be an added advantage

Knowledge in full set of accounts.

Able to work independently and with minimum supervision

Willing to work at Old Klang Road.
