Ying Hai Development Sdn Bhd in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah seeks a highly experienced Senior Accountant to oversee financial operations, strengthen internal controls and support large-scale construction projects.

The successful candidate will maintain accurate records, prepare monthly statements, monitor project costs and liaise with auditors, tax agents and authorities. A strong background in construction accounting and ACCA/CPA is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior role.
• Experience in construction accounting and project costing.
• Strong knowledge of full-set accounts, general ledger, accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), bank reconciliation and monthly financial closing.
• Knowledge of Malaysian accounting standards (MFRS/MPERS), taxation requirements, SST, LHDN and statutory compliance.
• Familiarity with Malaysia's e-Invoicing requirements and relevant tax documentation.
• Strong internal controls and audit readiness.
• Proficiency in AutoCount.

Responsabilités

• Manage full-set accounts, general ledger, accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), bank reconciliation and monthly financial closing.
• Prepare project-based financial reports, monitor actual costs against budgets and identify potential financial risks.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, bankers, company secretaries and relevant authorities.
• Manage supplier payment schedules, credit facilities, bank guarantees, performance bonds and project cash flow.

We are looking for a highly experienced, detail-oriented and trustworthy Senior Accountant to join Ying Hai Development Sdn Bhd in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the company's financial operations, maintaining accurate financial records, strengthening internal controls and supporting the financial management of our large-scale construction projects.

About you

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field

Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably with at least 2 years in a senior accounting or supervisory role

Experience in construction accounting, project costing and main contractor financial operations

Strong knowledge of full-set accounts, general ledger, accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), bank reconciliation and monthly financial closing

Good understanding of Malaysian accounting standards (MFRS/MPERS, as applicable), taxation requirements, SST, LHDN regulations and statutory compliance

Familiarity with Malaysia's e-Invoicing requirements and relevant tax documentation

Strong knowledge of financial internal controls, payment authorization procedures, documentation management and audit requirements

Proficiency in accounting software such as AutoCount

Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA or MIA membership will be an added advantage
