INITIA GROUP in Malaysia is seeking a Senior Accounting Executive to support the Accounting Manager and Finance Manager in preparing financial reports and maintaining financial integrity. The role involves daily accounting tasks, statutory compliance, budgeting collaboration, and external audit support, with guidance to junior staff.

This on-site position in Kuala Lumpur offers RM 4,800–RM 6,000 monthly, benefits, and potential hybrid elements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• ACCA/CPA/ICAEW/CIMA/MICPA preferred.
• 3–5 years related experience in F&B and/or retail industry.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with local accounting standards.
• Perform daily accounting tasks to support the finance team.
• Provide timely financial reports to management for decision making.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and accounting principles.
• Collaborate on annual budgets and forecasts.
• Monitor budget variances and provide insights.

Overall Job Objectives:

TheSenior Accounting Executivewill play a support role in maintaining financial integrity, ensuring compliance, and contributing to the overall success of our organization. The candidate will be working closely with the Accounting Manager and Finance Manager in the preparation of all financial reports for the Company.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with local accounting standards.

Perform daily accounting tasks that will support our financial team.

Provide accurate and timely financial reports to management for decision-making purposes.

Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and accounting principles.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop annual budgets and forecasts.

Monitor and analyze budget variances, providing insights and recommendations.

Provide support in the preparation of the tax compliance activities, ensuring adherence to local tax regulations.

Facilitate and manage the annual external audit process.

Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.

Address audit inquiries and implement recommendations for process improvements.

Mentor and guide junior finance team members.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or a related field.

Professional qualifications preferred (ACCA, CPA, ICAEW, CIMA or MICPA).

At least 3-5 years related experience.

With professional work experience background in F&B and/or Retail Industry.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Solid understanding of accounting and financial procedures and regulations

Strong work ethics with the ability to manage confidential data

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Demonstrated integrity, ethics, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality in handling financial information.
