Job summary

Memang Meow Kopitiam in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced accountant with a Diploma/Degree in Accounting or Finance, ACCA or equivalent. The role requires 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in F&B or retail, and familiarity with full set accounts for Sdn. Bhd. and Sole Proprietorships.

Proficiency in Excel and SQL, SST, audit, and tax compliance is essential. Mandarin fluency and own transport are preferred. Full-time at HQ.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in accounting, finance, ACCA or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in F&B or retail.
• Experience handling full set accounts for Sdn. Bhd. and Sole Proprietorships.
• Proficient in Excel and SQL systems; SST, audit and tax knowledge.
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluent in Mandarin due to company culture; own transport and driving license.
• Full-Time position at HQ in Kuala Lumpur.

Responsibilities

• Handle full set of accounts including GL, AP and AR.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Assist in month-end/year-end closing and reconciliations.
• Monitor cash flow and banking; process supplier payments.
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents and company secretary.

Good analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.

Good understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting skills as well as attention to detail.

Full Set of Accounts

• Handle full set of accounts including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR).

• Ensure all accounting transactions are accurately recorded and updated.

Financial Reporting

• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.

• Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.

• Perform account reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial records.

Cash Flow & Banking

• Monitor daily cash flow transactions.

• Prepare bank reconciliations and payment schedules.

• Process supplier and operational payments.

Audit & Taxation

• Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, company secretary, and relevant authorities.

Budgeting & Analysis

• Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting.

• Analyze operating expenses and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
