Job summary

YTL Land & Development Berhad in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Senior Accountant to manage the full set of accounts, monthly closings, intercompany transactions and tax schedules. You will handle journal entries, balance sheet schedules, bank reconciliations, and ensure accuracy and timeliness of reports.

The ideal candidate has a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with at least 6 years of relevant experience, preferably in property development, and strong reporting skills.

• At least 6 years of relevant working experience.
• Experience in property development accounting is an added advantage.
• Strong financial reporting skills that are timely, concise, and accurate.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Handle full set of accounts for assigned entities, including monthly/quarterly closings.
• Prepare journal entries, Balance Sheet schedules, intercompany transactions and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare audit and tax schedules, ensuring timely statutory audits and SST submissions.
• Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable and intercompany balances.
• Monitor cash flow movements and assist in treasury-related matters.
• Maintain proper accounting records and statutory files for audit/regulatory purposes.
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, vendors and authorities.

Job description

Handle the full set of accounts for assigned entities, including monthly/quarterly financial closing, journal entries, Balance Sheet schedule, intercompany transactions, tax schedule, and bank reconciliations.

Ensure the timely and accurate preparation and submission of monthly/quarterly management reports and relevant financial schedules.

Prepare audit and tax schedules, ensure timely completion of statutory audits, tax filings, SST submissions, and other regulatory requirements.

Oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable, and intercompany balances, including invoice processing, payment preparation, statement of account (SOA) reconciliations and staff claims.

Monitor cash flow movements, bank balances, and fixed deposit (FD) placements and assist in treasury-related matters.

Maintain proper accounting records, supporting documents, and statutory files to ensure completeness and compliance for audit and regulatory purposes.

Liaise and collaborate effectively with internal and external parties, including auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, vendors and government authorities.

Requirements:

Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or equivalent.

At least 6 years of working experience of relevant working experience.

Experience in handling property development accounts is an added advantage.
