Job summary

AIMS Data Centre in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced 132kV Resident Competent Engineer to lead critical facilities operations and maintenance, focusing on high and medium voltage systems to ensure safe, reliable uptime. You will supervise day-to-day facilities operations, regulatory reporting, vendor performance and incident response, with a strong emphasis on 132kV, 33kV, 11kV and LV installations.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia.
• Registered Professional Electrical Engineer with BEM.
• Registered with Energy Commission of Malaysia as a 132kV Competent Engineer / JEK.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in 132kV operations within a data centre or critical facilities environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead high‑voltage operations, compliance and reliability as the key competent person.
• Oversee installation, operation, inspection and maintenance of 132kV/33kV/11kV and LV systems.
• Coordinate with regulators and authorities on switching, outages and compliance.
• Manage daily facilities operations and 24/7 uptime readiness.
• Develop SOPs, MOPs, EOPs and maintenance schedules.
• Lead engineers, chargemen, vendors and contractors.
