Job summary

EDINSON POWER SDN BHD in Shah Alam is seeking an assistant Resident Engineer to operate, monitor and maintain high-voltage electrical distribution systems up to 132kV, including switchgear, transformers and generators.

You will coordinate maintenance, respond to faults, supervise technicians, ensure SAFETY and regulatory compliance, and maintain records and procedures required for effective system performance.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and resolve electrical faults and emergencies to ensure system stability and minimize downtime
• Conduct scheduled maintenance, inspections and testing of electrical equipment and systems
• Execute genset service, relay calibration and condition base monitoring activity
• Ensure all operations comply with safety regulations, standards and acts set by authorities like Suruhanjaya Tenaga
• Oversee and supervise repair and maintenance works performed by technicians or contractors
• Maintain accurate records and reports on maintenance activities and defects
• Plan and produce switching procedures in accordance with Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST) regulations and company safety policies
• Liaise with internal departments, contractors and external authorities on electrical matters
• Lead and coordinate chargeman technician for electrical related work
• Train and guide the maintenance staff, chargeman or technicians to improve their knowledge and skill in carrying out the work assigned
