Job summary

Vantage Data Centers LLC in Johor, Malaysia is hiring a Critical Facility Engineer (JHB) to manage 33 kV HV infrastructure, transformers, and associated systems in a data-center environment. You will operate, monitor, and maintain critical facilities, performing HV switching and coordinating with contractors during upgrades and commissioning.

The role demands a Chargeman B0 33kV certificate, hands-on HV experience, and the ability to work 12-hour shifts, on-call, and respond to emergencies.

Qualifications

• Valid Chargeman B0 (33kV) certificate with practical HV ops experience.
• 2+ years in critical facility operations or data center environments.
• Knowledge of 33 kV switchgear, transformers, relays, ATS, UPS, and LV/HV distribution.
• Familiarity with safety regs (PTW, LOTO, Electrical Safety).
• Ability to read electrical diagrams and fault diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, maintain, and ensure reliability of critical infra systems.
• Perform 33 kV switching, isolation, energization, and transfers per PTW/LOTO.
• Monitor 33 kV switchgear, transformers, protection relays, generators, UPS, and BMS.
• Conduct routine inspections, maintenance, and troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
• Respond to alarms and outages; assist RCA and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate contractors and vendors for testing, commissioning, and upgrades.
• Support 24x7 operations, on-call rotations, and emergency response.
