We are looking for a responsible, experienced and proactive Security Supervisor to oversee daily security operations and supervise Security Control Room Officers and outsourced security guards.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring effective security operations, monitoring surveillance systems, responding to incidents and providing guidance and training to security personnel.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise security officers and guards during assigned shifts in accordance with University security policies and procedures.
- Monitor and ensure effective operation of security surveillance systems.
- Respond promptly to security alerts, irregularities and incidents and ensure proper escalation and reporting.
- Complete and submit Security Incident Reports (CORE) before the end of each shift.
- Maintain accurate security documentation, records, SOPs, work instructions, incident reports, training records and investigation reports.
- Provide assistance and support to staff, students, visitors, contractors and members of the public.
- Prepare clear and accurate written reports and statements in accordance with incident reporting requirements.
- Conduct operational training, briefing and provide guidance to security personnel and guards.
- Ensure security personnel comply with established SOPs, instructions and University requirements.
- Carry out other security-related duties as assigned by the management.
REQUIREMENTS
- At least 1 year of experience in a similar security supervisory role or relevant security experience.
- Experience in security operations and surveillance systems will be an advantage.
- Good command of English – reading, writing and speaking.
- Good interpersonal, communication and customer service skills.
- Good computer literacy and ability to prepare reports.
- Physically fit and medically able to perform security duties.
- Able to work independently and lead a team effectively.
- Willing to work rotating shifts, weekends and public holidays.
ADDED ADVANTAGE
Candidates with the following certifications will have an added advantage:
- First Aid
- CPR
- AED
- Fire Fighting
- Basic Security Management Certification
SHIFT SCHEDULE
- Morning: 7.00 AM – 3.00 PM
- Afternoon: 3.00 PM – 11.00 PM
- Night: 11.00 PM – 7.00 AM
Shift hours include a 45-minute meal break.
Additional working hours may be required from time to time, particularly during peak operational periods.
