Job summary

Jora Malaysia requires a security guard to monitor CCTV and alarm systems, manage access control, and patrol premises. You will respond to emergencies and report any incidents or irregularities to management.

Applicants should be physically fit, capable of standing and patrolling for extended periods. Prior security experience is advantageous, with SPm or equivalent qualification preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum SPM or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in security or guarding is an advantage.
• Physically fit to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor CCTV, alarm systems, access-control systems, and other security equipment where applicable.
• Prevent and report unauthorized access, theft, vandalism, damage, or other security breaches.
• Respond promptly to emergencies, incidents, alarms, and suspicious activities.
• Record and report all security incidents, observations, and irregularities accurately.
• Maintain daily security logs, occurrence books, visitor records, and other required documentation.
• Liaise with management, building management, emergency services, and authorities when required.
• Safeguard company property, equipment, confidential areas, and other valuable assets.
• Perform other security-related duties assigned by the Security Supervisor or Management.
