Job summary

Sunway Retail in Johor Bahru is seeking a dedicated security officer to supervise guards, ensure post checks, and maintain safety across the mall and car park.

You will report to the security officer, conduct roll calls, briefings and uniform checks, coordinate equipment, patrol designated areas, and respond to incidents with vigilance and discipline on duty; overtime may be required, and postings include Sunway Big Box Iskandar Puteri or Sunway RTS.

Qualifications

• SPM with credit in BM & Sejarah
• At least 1 year working experience
• Able to read and write in English and Bahasa Malaysia
• Physically fit (BMI 19-25), height ≥163 cm, weight ≥50 kg
• Must be able to work in Iskandar Puteri, Johor
• Able to perform over-time work

Responsibilities

• Assist the security officer in supervising the shift of security guards on duty
• Check guards at their posts and ensure briefing and training on their duties
• Assist in conducting roll call and uniform checks
• Assist in provision of security equipments for guards on duty
• Maintain a standard productivity and discipline level among the guards
• Patrol the mall and car park and ensure safety of complex, tenants and customers
• Prevent theft, damage, accidents and incidents
• Report all incidents to the officer on duty for next action

Key responsibilities:

• Assist the security officer in supervising the shift of security guards on duty
• Check on guards at their respective posts and ensure that the guards are briefed and trained on their duties and responsibilities
• Assist the security officer in conducting roll call and uniform checks
• Assist in the provision of security equipments for guards on duty
• Maintain a standard productivity and discipline level among the guards
• Patrol the common area in the mall and car park and take the appropriate security measures in ensuring the complex / tenant / customer safety
• Prevent theft / damage / accident / incident from happening in the complex
• Patrol and visit all designated checkpoints and security visit books as in the daily roster
• Report all theft / damage / accident / incident to the officer on duty for next appropriate line of action

Job Requirement:

• SPM with at least credit in BM & Sejarah
• At least 1 year working experience
• Able to read and write in English and Bahasa Malaysia
• Physically fit, BMI 19 to 25, minimum height 163cm, minimum weight 50kg
• Must be able to work in Iskandar Puteri Johor
• Able to perform over-time work
• Will station at either Sunway Big Box Iskandar Puteri/Sunway Puteri Hills/Sunway RTS
