Job summary

Elegant Class Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Security Manager to lead security operations across our club locations in Penang. You will oversee outsourced teams, plan manpower, and ensure site security standards during peak periods and events.

The role requires strong leadership, vendor management, and incident response skills, with fluency in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Chinese. The successful candidate will conduct audits, develop SOPs, and coordinate with management and authorities.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in Security Management or related field.
  • 3–5 years in security operations with supervisory/management experience.
  • Experience managing outsourced security personnel across multiple locations.
  • Experience in clubs, entertainment venues, hospitality, events, or other high-traffic environments preferred.
  • Strong leadership, vendor-management, organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in Chinese, Bahasa Malaysia and English.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint; able to prepare security reports and records.
  • Possess a valid driving license and willing to travel between clubs; flexible hours including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee outsourced security operations across all clubs to ensure a safe environment for guests, employees, assets, and premises.
  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor deployment of outsourced security personnel according to operating hours, events, crowd levels, and risk profile.
  • Manage appointed security service providers and ensure compliance with contracts, SLAs, and company policies.
  • Conduct scheduled and unannounced site inspections, security audits, and operational assessments across all club locations.
  • Monitor security personnel attendance, punctuality, appearance, conduct, licensing, training, and fitness for duty; address shortages or performance issues.
  • Implement and maintain security SOPs covering access control, crowd management, age and identity verification, emergency response, incident handling, and closing procedures.
  • Coordinate security arrangements for peak periods, special events, VIP visits, and high-risk situations with club management and operations teams.
  • Investigate incidents, guest complaints, theft, misconduct, property damage; coordinate with CCTV technician for footage or support.
  • Prepare accurate incident reports, inspection findings, monthly operational reports, and vendor performance evaluations; recommend corrective actions.
  • Liaise with outsourced providers, club managers, internal stakeholders, clients, and authorities while briefing, coaching, and training to maintain standards.

We are seeking an experienced Security Manager to manage and strengthen security operations across our club locations. The role oversees outsourced security teams, manpower planning, vendor performance, site security standards, incident response, and security arrangements for peak periods and special events.

Job Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage outsourced security operations across all clubs to ensure a safe environment for guests, employees, assets, and premises.
  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor the deployment of outsourced security personnel according to each club's operating hours, events, crowd levels, and risk profile.
  • Manage appointed security service providers and ensure compliance with contractual obligations, service-level requirements, company policies, and club procedures.
  • Conduct scheduled and unannounced site inspections, security audits, and operational assessments across all club locations.
  • Monitor security personnel attendance, punctuality, appearance, conduct, licensing, training, and fitness for duty; follow up promptly on manpower shortages or performance issues.
  • Implement and maintain security SOPs covering access control, crowd and queue management, age and identity verification, emergency response, incident handling, and closing procedures.
  • Coordinate security arrangements for peak periods, special events, VIP visits, and high-risk situations in collaboration with club management and operations teams.
  • Investigate incidents, guest complaints, theft, misconduct, altercations, property damage, and other security breaches; coordinate with the designated CCTV technician to obtain relevant footage or technical support when required.
  • Prepare accurate incident reports, inspection findings, monthly operational reports, vendor performance evaluations, and recommendations for corrective action.
  • Liaise with outsourced security providers, club managers, internal stakeholders, clients, and relevant authorities while providing briefings, coaching, and training to maintain consistent service standards.
Job Requirements
  • Diploma or Degree in Security Management, Business Administration, Law Enforcement, Occupational Safety, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in security operations, including supervisory or management experience.
  • Experience managing outsourced security personnel or third-party security service providers across multiple locations.
  • Experience in clubs, entertainment venues, hospitality, retail, events, or other high-traffic environments is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of manpower planning, access control, crowd management, incident investigation, emergency response, and security risk assessment.
  • Good understanding of applicable Malaysian laws, licensing requirements, regulations, and security industry standards.
  • Strong leadership, vendor-management, organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Chinese, Bahasa Malaysia and English, with the ability to prepare professional operational and incident reports.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email, and the preparation of security reports and operational records.
  • Possess a valid driving licence and own transportation; willing to travel between all clubs and work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, public holidays, and emergencies when required.
