Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in freight forwarding, shipping, or logistics.
• Familiarity with sea freight terms — FAK, SOC, COC, GRI, PSS.
• Strong Excel skills (formulas, formatting, data organization).
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and ability to meet fixed monthly deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and update the monthly FAK rate sheet across SOC and COC container types and all trade lanes.
• Collect and verify freight rates from lines/carriers, agents, and internal sources.
• Track rate changes (GRI, PSS, surcharges) and ensure validity periods reflected.
• Maintain a clear, organized rate sheet for sales and operations reference.
• Flag significant movements to reporting manager before finalizing updates.
• Liaise with carriers to request and confirm updated rates before deadlines.
• Follow up on outstanding quotations to complete rate sheet on schedule.
• Maintain records of rate correspondence and rate validity for audits.
• Publish finalized rate within timelines; support ad hoc rate costing requests.
• Assist in basic rate trend analysis and ensure consistency with contracts.
