The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Provide comprehensive nursing care to students and staff by assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting care for illnesses and injuries.
Deliver first aid and emergency medical care, and coordinate referrals or transfers to external healthcare facilities when required.
Monitor and report student health and safety concerns to the line manager and school leadership, ensuring appropriate follow‑up.
Administer medications and treatments in accordance with school policies, healthcare provider instructions, and parental consent where applicable.
Maintain and replenish first aid kits across the campus, including those used for sports programmes and approved educational trips.
Maintain accurate, confidential, and up‑to‑date medical records, ensuring timely communication of relevant health information to the appropriate stakeholders.
Update student health information in school‑approved systems (e.g., Engage, MyConcern, or other designated platforms) in a timely and accurate manner.
Support student admissions and withdrawals by managing health forms and maintaining student medical records.
Manage the inventory of medical supplies and ensure the infirmary and medical equipment are well‑maintained and operational.
Safeguard the confidentiality of all student, staff, and family health information in accordance with professional and legal standards.
Always Maintain a valid Annual Practising Certificate (APC) and registration with the Malaysian Nursing Board.
Participate in ongoing professional development to maintain clinical competence and enhance nursing knowledge and skills.
Liaise with relevant health authorities, including the Ministry of Health (MOH), District Health Office (PKD), and other agencies on health‑related matters and programmes.
Plan, coordinate, and support school health and wellness programmes for students and staff.
Undertake any other duties assigned by the line manager, with the health, safety, and wellbeing of students as the highest priority.
The ideal candidate should have:
Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
Valid nursing registration with a current Annual Practising Certificate (APC).
Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), and First Aid is required.
Minimum 2–3 years of nursing experience; school nursing, emergency care, or community health is an advantage.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with children, parents, and staff.
Strong organisational, record‑keeping, and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to remain calm and respond effectively during emergencies.
