Job summary

Lavu Tech Solutions Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Software Engineer to develop, configure, and enhance insurance applications on the Sapiens IDIT platform. The role requires hands-on Sapiens IDIT development, troubleshooting, and system integration to support General Insurance products and digital transformation initiatives.

You will work with Technical Leads, BAs, QA, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions, participate in Agile ceremonies, and ensure production stability

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of software development experience.
• 2+ years hands-on Sapiens IDIT development.
• Experience developing insurance policy administration solutions.
• Strong understanding of General Insurance business processes.
• Experience with REST APIs and system integration.
• Good SQL and relational database skills.
• Experience using JSON and XML.
• Experience using Git or Bitbucket for source control.
• Familiarity with Jira and Confluence.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, configure, and customize solutions within the Sapiens IDIT platform.
• Implement new product features, enhancements, and bug fixes.
• Configure business rules, workflows, product definitions, rating, underwriting, policy servicing, and document generation.
• Develop reusable components following development standards and best practices.
• Participate in requirement analysis and technical design discussions.
• Convert functional specifications into technical solutions.
• Estimate development effort and support sprint planning activities.
• Deliver high-quality, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Develop and maintain REST APIs and system integrations.
• Implement integrations between IDIT and external systems such as payment gateways, CRM, document management systems, and data platforms.
• Support API testing and interface troubleshooting.
• Validate data mappings and payload structures.
• Perform unit testing and support system integration testing.
• Assist business users during UAT.
• Investigate and resolve defects within agreed SLAs.
• Ensure solutions meet performance, security, and quality standards.
• Provide Level 2 and Level 3 application support.
• Investigate production incidents and perform root cause analysis.
• Support production deployments and post-release verification.
• Work with vendors and infrastructure teams to resolve technical issues.
• Prepare technical specifications and solution documentation.
• Maintain configuration documents and API specifications.
• Update knowledge articles and support documentation.
• Work closely with: Technical Leads, Business Analysts, QA Engineers, Product Owners, Business Users, Sapiens Global Support, Integration teams.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, retrospectives, and backlog grooming.
• Identify opportunities to improve system performance and maintainability.
• Contribute to reusable frameworks and development standards.
• Stay current with Sapiens IDIT product enhancements and insurance technology trends.
