Job summary
R Systems in Malaysia is seeking an experienced AS400 / IBM i Application Developer & Support professional to maintain and enhance insurance applications, including fire and general insurance products. You will work with business users to define requirements, coordinate testing, and ensure smooth production deployments.

Qualifications
- Experience in AS400 / IBM i development and support.
- Experience supporting insurance applications, preferably Fire Insurance / General Insurance.
- Understanding of the insurance application lifecycle and business processes.
- Experience working with business users to gather and clarify requirements.
- Experience supporting testing and UAT activities.
- Experience coordinating development, testing, deployment to production.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, enhance, and support AS400 / IBM i applications, primarily for insurance products.
- Analyse requirements with business users to understand outcomes and translate to technical solutions.
- Coordinate system testing, UAT, and testing activities with users.
- Assist users in preparing testing requirements, test scenarios, and expected results.
- Coordinate changes from requirement gathering through development, testing, deployment, and production implementation.
- Support and coordinate production deployment of application changes and enhancements.
- Investigate and troubleshoot day-to-day application issues and incidents.
