Job summary

BOLDD ADVERTISING SDN BHD in Penang is seeking a friendly Sales Promoter to engage customers on the shop floor and promote consumer electronics. You will provide expert product knowledge, recommend solutions, and help shoppers make informed purchases.

This role requires strong communication, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and flexibility to work retail hours including weekends and public holidays. Fluency in Malay and English is preferred.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Sales Promoter or Sales Assistant in consumer electronics or retail.
• Strong sales skills with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
• Excellent product knowledge or ability to learn product specs quickly.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to engage customers.
• Willingness to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Promote and demonstrate consumer electronic products on the shop floor.

• Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner and resolve queries promptly.
• Maintain an attractive, well-organised product display and process sales at POS.

Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner, addressing their queries and concerns promptly

Maintain an attractive and well-organised product display area

Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using point-of-sale systems

Conduct product training sessions to educate customers about features, benefits and usage

Collaborate with team members and management to ensure a seamless shopping experience

Keep up-to-date with the latest product releases, promotions and pricing information

Report daily sales performance and provide feedback on customer preferences and market trends

What we're looking for

Proven experience as a Sales Promoter, Sales Assistant or in a similar customer-facing retail role within the consumer electronics or retail sector

Strong sales skills with a demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets

Excellent product knowledge or the ability to quickly learn about consumer electronic products and specifications

Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage customers effectively

A friendly, approachable demeanour and genuine passion for customer service

Ability to work well independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced retail environment

Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks such as handling products and rearranging displays

Flexibility to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays as required

Basic numeracy skills and familiarity with point-of-sale systems or similar retail technology

Fluency in Malay and English; additional languages are advantageous
