Job summary

Rigel Technology (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Head of Department – Sales & Marketing to drive revenue, profitability, and market share through effective strategies and leadership of the Sales & Marketing team. You will identify new business opportunities and expand direct sales and distribution networks while maintaining strong key customer relationships.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Sales & Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of sales and business development experience, preferably with team management exposure.
• Proven track record in achieving sales targets and developing new markets or distribution networks.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Experience in sanitaryware, building materials, or consumer durables is an advantage.
• Willingness to travel frequently as required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sales and marketing strategies to achieve revenue, profitability, and market share targets.
• Lead and manage the Sales & Marketing team, monitor performance, and ensure achievement of departmental KPIs.
• Identify new business opportunities, expand customer networks, and develop direct sales and distribution channels.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and business partners.
• Oversee sales planning, forecasting, pricing, quotations, negotiations, and business development activities.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities.
• Plan and oversee marketing campaigns, product promotions, exhibitions, and brand-building activities.
• Ensure customer satisfaction through effective enquiry handling, order coordination, and complaint resolution.
• Work closely with other departments to support business growth and operational efficiency.
