Job summary

Newman Idesign & Renovation Sdn Bhd is seeking a talented and creative Interior Designer to join our dynamic team in Kepong, Kuala Lumpur. This full-time role involves conceptualising, designing and executing interior design projects and collaborating with clients, architects and contractors to bring visions to life.

You'll prepare detailed drawings, 3D renderings and presentations, conduct site measurements, select materials, and manage projects within budget and schedule.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design from an accredited program.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply; candidates with relevant working experience are encouraged to apply.
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite or equivalent industry-standard tools.
• Strong understanding of design principles, color theory, spatial planning and architectural concepts.

Responsibilities

• Develop creative interior design concepts and layouts tailored to client specifications and project requirements.

Newman Idesign & Renovation Sdn Bhd is seeking a talented and creative Interior Designer to join our dynamic team. This is a full-time position based in Kepong, Kuala Lumpur. In this role, you will be responsible for conceptualising, designing and executing interior design projects that transform spaces into functional and aesthetically pleasing environments. You will work closely with clients, architects, and contractors to bring design visions to life whilst ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. This position is pivotal to our company's success, as interior designers are at the heart of creating exceptional spaces that enhance our clients' quality of life.

What you'll be doing

• Developing creative and innovative interior design concepts and layouts tailored to client specifications and project requirements
• Preparing detailed design drawings, 3D renderings and visual presentations for client approval and project planning
• Conducting site assessments and measurements to understand spatial constraints and opportunities
• Selecting appropriate materials, finishes, furniture and décor elements that align with design themes and budget parameters
• Collaborating with clients to understand their needs, preferences and project objectives
• Liaising with contractors, suppliers and other professionals to ensure accurate implementation of design specifications
• Managing project timelines, budgets and resources to ensure successful project delivery
• Conducting site inspections and quality checks during the implementation phase to ensure adherence to design standards
• Staying updated with current design trends, materials and industry best practices
• Providing design consultation and advice to enhance client satisfaction and project outcomes

What we're looking for

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design, with a strong understanding of design principles, space planning, and interior design development
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply; candidates with relevant working experience are encouraged to apply
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite or equivalent industry-standard tools
• Strong understanding of design principles, colour theory, spatial planning and architectural concepts
• Excellent knowledge of building materials, finishes, furniture and construction techniques
• Ability to create compelling visual presentations and 3D renderings to communicate design concepts effectively
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams
• Project management capabilities with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Creative thinking and problem-solving skills to address design challenges and client requirements
• Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work
• Knowledge of Malaysian building codes, regulations and safety standards is advantageous
